What first inspired you to pursue a career in this field?

I hear this all the time: “No one ever thinks they’ll end up in the parking industry.” So how did I get here? Innocently enough, through recruiting (where I also met the infamous Kathleen Laney). From there, I quickly built my own client base through referrals and connections. With my husband already in the industry, I had a glimpse inside, but once I experienced the genuine people and the cutting-edge tech, I was hooked. Parking is evolving fast, and I was excited to jump in and be part of that change.

How long have you been in the parking/mobility industry, and what changes have you seen over the years?

My exposure to the industry started about four years ago on the recruiting side, but directly, it’s only been nine months! The biggest change I’ve noticed is in hiring. Parking experience is still preferred, but it’s beginning to not be a hard requirement. As the industry embraces more technology and SaaS-based products, it’s creating new entry points for tech enthusiasts to make their way in. It’s refreshing to see companies open the door to talent from outside the traditional parking and mobility world, and it's been exciting to be a part of that shift.

What advice would you give to women entering the parking or mobility industry?

Confidence is your greatest tool; stand tall and own your place.

Why did you join Mobility Pathfinders?

I joined Mobility Pathfinders to learn and grow of course, but also to be inspired and empowered by the incredible women in this community. The best growth happens when you surround yourself with people who challenge and uplift you, and I believe we each have something unique to share with one another. Our different experiences and perspectives create opportunities to learn from one another, and that collective strength is what makes this organization so unique.

What’s one goal you’re working toward this year—professionally or personally?

This year, my goal is to find my own sense of calm...my “chi.” I’ve spent so much time moving at full speed, and now I want to slow down enough to really absorb life in the present moment. For me, it’s about taking it all in, appreciating where I am, and letting that balance guide both my personal and professional growth.

What’s a book, podcast, or quote that’s inspired you lately?

Recently, I’ve been deeply moved by Mel Robbins' powerful message: “Choose yourself.” In her book The Let Them Theory, she emphasizes how crucial it is to honor your own needs and values instead of chasing external validation. As Robbins puts it, “You are the only love of your entire life... everything you’re looking for starts with you.” Such a simple message, but so transformative.

What's your go-to coffee (or tea!) order during a busy day?

AM: Black coffee, no room / PM: Iced Matcha Latte
